Karen has been teaching mat based Pilates with small apparatus for over 15 years. Her classes are informative and fun and are suitable for anyone who wants to keep moving and stay fit as they age. As she creeps ever closer to 60, Karen fully embraces the challenges faced by the ageing process and teaches from a place of personal experience and understanding.
Pilates is an ideal exercise for older clients. The exercises are low impact and incorporate stretching, mindful breathing, balance and weight bearing. Pilates mat classes can be tailored to suit all abilities and ages and the exercises can be performed on a mat or seated in a chair, in a hall or outdoors in nature. No knowledge of Pilates is necessary.
Join a community of like-minded individuals and have fun exercising together! Our classes are aimed at the over 50's, both men and women. All you need to bring is a mat, a bottle of water and most importantly, a smile.
